Dear Dan and Tom, 
i am preparing to enter my first tournament in mid-November, what sort of etiquette should i know for matches and warm up. Plus and small tips or trick to help with preparing in practice

Hey Jeremiah, that’s exciting yo are playing your first tournament. So normally before a match you get a 2 minute warm up with your opponent, usually players do a few forehand drives, then forehand topspins each and then the same on the backhand just to get a feel for the ball. I think in terms of preparation in training just make sure you are doing a lot of drills with serve and return as in matches this is a vital area to winning points. Also doing irregular drills to get used to not knowing where the ball is going as this is a major reason people struggle in games. The last thing I would say is to try to do some practice matches against a wide variety of players so you are used to playing different styles and shots and serves. This will prepare you well for the tournament, let us know how you get on and good luck!
