There are a couple of things to look out for to help you read spin, first is the bat angle of your opponent’s bat and the contact point. You need to look out for if they really get a fine brush on the ball or a thicker more firm contact giving less spin.
Also the first bounce on the table, if it stays lower and skids through it usually means there’s more backspin and obviously if it kicks or jumps a bit higher, it means more topspin or sidespin.
