Coach CornerServe and ReceiveHow to do cork spin?
mithun100 asked 6 years ago

Hi,

I have been reading and learnt that there is another type of spin cork spin. How can we produce that while using pendulum serve or is there any other way we can produce it. Is there any video related to it?

Thanks,
Mithun

Hi Mithun100,

You can produce both directions of sidespin, one using the pendulum serve and the opposite spin using a reverse serve which you can learn how to do here-https://tabletennisdailyacademy.com/videos/reverse-pendulum-serve/

Any questions abkut this then just let us know.

Sorry Tom, I meant Corkscrew Spin. I read in an article about it , so was wondering what is it and how this can be produced.

Corkscrew is basically another name for the spin produced during a normal pendulum service, it can be generated by really brushing up and around the side of the ball to make it kick a lot on the opponents side.

We’ve got lots of videos on the serve and receive section to help with improving serves as well as generating better spin and disguise ?
