Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve asked a question. I’ve been playing with long pips for a while now with some success. I’ve been watching a lot of Manika Batra videos, and I am amazed at how low she remains throughout a rally. I start out low but as the point progresses I start to straighten up, especially when I switch to a forehand attack. My question is two-fold: 1) Is it possible to be too low? 2) What’s the best way to train to stay low throughout a point?
Id love to see a Master Class with Manika Batra.  I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing one with Enzo Angles his forehand is incredible and his insights into sports psychology are enlightening.
Hopefully Ill see you in person the next time your in the states at PingPod
Stay well,
Lem

Hey Lem! Yeah Mika is quite tall as well but she manages to stay low really well which is important for this game style I think. It is possible to be too low but normally you can feel this quite quickly as its actually hard to move. The best way to practice staying low is doing some exercises for the quad muscles like a wall sit, but also just doing simple regular drills but with the focus being keeping ,low all the way through the point which will help you get used to this position and strengthen your legs so it becomes more comfortable.

We’ll definitely be trying to get more pro player masterclasses on the Academy for sure so we can try to get one of those guys on here! Yeah hope to see you over in the states when we’re there next time!

All the best, Dan 🙂

Thank you for your response.

The under served (pun intended) long pip community would definitely appreciate seeing a master class from Manika. Enzo’s forehand and insights into table tennis psychology would be extremely valuable as well as shining a light on the new Major League Table Tennis league here in the states.
