noob-wanting-to-try-a-2nd-rubber-what-do-you-recommend
I started about 8 months ago, I feel I have made steady progress. The place where I started practicing recommended getting a good bat with beginner rubbers. Currently I use a Timo Boll ACL blade and Nittaku 54-040 rubber. I am often told to do everything faster, I am not young and am not sure I can go faster. Age or rubber?? Any recommendations for my second rubber? I was told I should think about upgrading.
Hey Marcus, I think the most important thing with equipment is not to change to often but there’s nothing wrong with experimenting a bit to find what you like. To be honest though it comes down to personal feeling a lot, if you like the feel and speed of the bat then there’s no reason to change, however if you feel like you need more spin or speed from the bat then I’d say the Nittaku fastarc g1 would be an upgrade from the rubber you have in terms of speed without feeling completely different so that would be a good option.
Thanks Dan. I might give that one a go. You mention that it comes down to personal feeling.
Unfortunately there is no try before you buy with rubbers thats why I thought I would ask.
Thanks for your recommendation.
