Coach CornerShort pimples mechanics
darion888 asked 1 year ago

Hello,

I have already known some tactics against short pimples and that they do not change or reverse the spin a lot in comparison to medium or long pips. But what intrigues me is how do they behave after the backspin push from my side. I sometimes have a feeling that after the opponent pushes back, the ball comes to me flat and it often pops up? Is it possible?

Hey, Yes that’s definitely possible with short pimples if you give them a lot of backspin, and it can help set up and attack for you. the key when playing short pimples is mixing up the spin and varying the speed so they don’t get used to one tempo
