Hi Dan, Hi Tom
Are harder sponge tensor/esn style rubbers harder to control then their softer counterparts? Say a Rasanter R37 vs R47, or C48 for example? Or Rakza 7 Soft vs Rakza 7.
Is it just more gears and thus more top end speed? Or are they bouncier at lower speeds too? Not like hurricane 3 neo for example?
And also what are your top5 hybrid rubbers? Do they need big swings like chinese style tacky rubbers or you can play like euro rubbers (spin and speed wise)?
Thank you.

Hey! Yes the harder rubbers are a little bit more difficult to control but they do offer more power and direct speed. They do tend to have more gears and the ball leaves the bat more quickly. In terms of hybrid rubbers, we recently reviewed the Andro C53 rubbers, I would say this along with Dignics 09c are both very good hybrid rubbers. They do need longer swings and more use of the legs and body to generate the same speed as a Euro type rubber for sure.
