I am comfortable in looping backspin to topspin, thereafter the opponent blocks the ball and i find in difficult to counter the next topspin. What can i do to improve on this.

Infact i can continuously loop backspin to topspin against lomg pips, but with inverted rubbers i find it fifficult to continue topspin to topspin rallt

Hey Nagendra! Ok this could be down to not having the bat high enough to get over and close the angle on your topspin shots. Make sure after lifting the backspin ball you then recover with your bat higher so you can brush over the ball and keep it down. Also make sure against a topspin ball you are still accelerating on the contact, if you don’t the topspin can make the ball kick off the end of the table. Let us know how you get on! Thanks, Dan 🙂

I also realised that i am trying to meet the ball early on the consecutive shot making me feel rushed. May be i can wait for the ball to cross the end of table and then make a contact. Do u think this will help

Yes that early timing can also cause a problem so try to wait for it a bit longer. That’s great, glad it helped already!
