When should I use a carbon blade?

I have been told by my friends I should switch to a carbon blade. I use an allround blade at the moment. When should I make the switch to carbon? What are the differences?

Hi Nikolai thanks for your question.
Blades are usually a personal preference, are your friends saying you are not getting enough power in your shots? You could try an off blade.
Carbon blades are quite a lot faster than allround wood blades. How much do you practice and what rubber setup do you have currently?
I think moving to a offensive wood blade would be a good option for now ? How long have you been playing for?
