How to hit on the backhand of a player but don’t let him pivot and hit a topspin loop?

Hey Mithun,

That’s a great question, I think it’s all about how well you can use your backhand to switch the play down the line. The down the line shot is very important to keep your opponent guessing. When they are indecisive they pivot a lot less. This video explains this in further detail https://tabletennisdailyacademy.com/videos/effectiveness-early-backhand-switch/

Another great way is to vary your backhands spin and speed. If you spin deep to your opponents backhand they will find it hard to pivot as the ball will kick up.

Hope this helps,
Dan
